My Thought of the Project and the Group

I thought the idea of the boxes were brilliant at first, but on the down side it was a bit too simple for my liking as it don't seem salable to me (but i was wrong) especially hand crafted which can be hard to sell. But after discussing with the group the can be used as both gift and Christmas present, so i thought it just might work. But to make sure, i went and done a little research on gifts shop, card shop and also asked family members about the idea. By using this type of method it allows the group and i to analyse the founding to see if the idea is doable (plus the time limits for this project was very short). If we had a longer period of time, i think we could have improved on a lot of things.

Survey Monkey Results:
From the information we collected, we found that 70% of our customers would be female and the people they would buy it for - mother, father and friends were the highest in the questionnaire. We even found out that most of the customers would prefer chocolates than sweets, which was actually right because they were the one to be sold the fastest, properly because of the wonderful packaging and design lol. We also feedback about the colours of the boxes and most people would the traditional Christmas colours such as red, green, white, gold and silver. This type of market research actually became very handy as it allows survey to be sent out quick and easy without any fuss.

The down side toward this project was the amount of people in the group and the location, there was far too many of us doing the same 'jobs' like designing the slips. So things became complicated and inaccurate. But in the end we all managed to get something done or to help. So i think, this wasn't much of a down fall.....

HEY we all had fun anyway which was the most important

Overall Results and Improvement

On Wednesday 9th - 11am-1pm.... After the first day of the sale in the Student Union and around the University, we found that most of our sales came from the a member of the group (Aaysha and Ric) who wonder around various area of the Uni, to help advertise the product or even better sell them. But i think the whole sales went perfectly well, everyone gave their better shot at it...But to be honest, it was our first time doing this type of thing. It was for me. But in some areas of the sale, i think it could be improved on such as more selection on the boxes (size, sweets e.g.), location was properly the main problem of them all, in our sales because there weren't many people who walks along the first floor of the SU - this was properly because of poor timing or day because it was raining. But in the end, we all did make a sale and even better a profit as well :). So i think the whole project including the product itself was a big success. And Thank You members of the group for putting so much effect into this project.....especially Aaysha (group leader) for ordering the boxes and putting them together.THANK YOU

If we didn't have you in the group we properly be lost and getting nowhere with this project at all

The Big Day - Christmas Sale

On Thursday 3th - the group open up a store in the Student Union for the Christmas Sale.....Started from 10am-3.30pm and we managed to sell 43 boxes out of the 80 boxes. I found that the sale was very successful but slow. Some of the group member decided to go around the University and get sales that way.....and in the end it turned out better than we thought. The major disadvantage about this sale was the location of the sale. If we were on the ground floor i think we could have done a lot better as it is a lot crowed with people than on the first floor

Some of the boxes will have different design slips on them......for different kind customers (elderly, teenagers, adults etc). This is a good thing as it allow them to have more of a choice in flavor, colours and theme as well.

Christmas Gifts Boxes

These are the 'Christmas Gifts Boxes' each one contains a special treat inside.... But the boxes are still underway because we are still designing the slip for it, to help make it more professional looking to the customer. This will also be an advantage as it's allow the customers to have a lot more choice on the theme of the boxes. We already have about 80 boxes ready.

Survey Monkey

Survey!!!
Luckily one of our member in the group.....came up with a clever idea of sending out surveys to people to do (and it fast and reliable) on FaceBook. Which was created on Survey Monkey.....luckily a lot of people replied back and gave positive and some negative feedback about the product and how we can improve on it.

Survey: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/LSB22TM

Snowflake!

Snowflake!.......
We were divided into groups to come up with a product to sell, for the Christmas sales. The product we all came up with, was a box, in which we need to design and sell....to help raise money for charity. We designed various style to help fit in with the theme. But luckily in the end we found boxes for sale on Ebay......so we decided scrap the boxes and help design slip for it (and due to the time limit) and fill them with littles treats.
